Scouting Builds Character and instills values for a lifetime

– education through outdoor adventure –

ADVENTURE

Scouts BSA is an introduction to the great outdoors for boys and girls ages 11 through 17 and, most important, a lesson about their place in it.

lEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Scouting builds leaders. Former Scouts serve on the boards of global corporations, walk the halls of the White House, and have been known to go hiking on the moon occasionally. Life lessons learned in Scouting will help all of its members make good decisions throughout life.

SERVICE

The Scout slogan is Do a Good Turn Daily. That means doing something to help others each day without expecting anything in return. It implies that Scouts do their part in caring for the community and the environment.

PERSONAL GROWTH

As Scouts plan activities and progress toward goals, they experience personal growth. Young men and women grow by participating in community service projects and by doing a Good Turn daily.

CTA1idea

Scouting prepares boys to become respected citizens and capable men of high character.  As a boy led organization, we are here to empower leadership, growth in character, and safely challenge each other to live out the values found in the Scout Law and Scout Oath.

Troop 51 is committed to providing safe structures for boys to learn basic life skills through fun and challenging experiences. Our program is proven, and our volunteers are trained.

Warning
Warning
Warning
Warning.

There’s no one way to explore the world. My way is to push myself, and never take the easy road. I prefer a road that winds through forests and goes up mountains. Because I’ve always been an adventurer at heart. That’s why I can’t wait to be a Scout. Because Scouting will guide me to great things. It won’t just teach me to navigate the woods with confidence, but it will give me the confidence I need to navigate the world. I’ll enter the Scouts as the best version of myself today and will grow into the best version of myself for my future. Scouting will show me how to use bravery, trustworthiness, loyalty and kindness to become a person I’m proud to be. Because there’s no one way to explore the world. And my way is in the Scouts. So, Scout Me In.
