Located off Hwy 41 midway between Atascadero and Morro Bay, this 4-mile round trip to Cerro Alto Peak, was the perfect day hike for our young group of Scouters. At an elevation of 2,624 ft, the scouts were able to see first-hand views of the Pacific Coastline, Whale Rock Reservoir, Morro Bay, and the Santa Lucia Mountains.
