- Backpacking Backpack – Properly fitting, w/enough room for gear and food for 3 day Trek.
- Duffel Bag – When the activity/outing does not require a backpack.
- Day Pack – Should be included or incorporated into every activity/outing. Should hold BSA recommended Ten Essentials.
- Sleeping Bag – Compact/Lightweight, between 20 to 30 degrees.
- Sleeping Pad – Several different options for compact/lightweight or bigger pad with more insulation.
- Mess Kit – Lightweight and easy to pack.
- Sturdy Hiking Boots or Trail Runners – Breathable, protective, sturdy boot or shoe that fits.
